Youth aged 13 and
younger cannot register as a volunteer via the eAYSO.org system.
AYSO Area Q would still love to have you referee though! To register in this
age bracket (and ONLY if you are 13 or younger!) then print out this
Youth
Volunteer Form three times, sign, have your parent or guardian sign, and
send to the mailing address for your local region.
USSF Certified
Referee's:
To Referee AYSO Games, you need to complete these steps:
1. Register via
eAYSO.com as an AYSO volunteer (annually each year, August to
August). Registration is FREE. Click Here.
- This needs to be completed online, 2 forms printed out,
signed, sent in to the mailing address for you local region.
- IT may take up to a week
(in some regions longer) before the form is processed and you become "Registered" with AYSO.
- Registration results in your assignment of an AYSOID,
which you need for Step 2 below. You won't have an AYSOID until the regional registrar processes your paperwork (even though you register online). AYSO needs the signed waivers and affirmative statements before you can be insured
2. Take the AYSO Referee Safe-Haven course once in your lifetime. This online course takes about 30 to 45 minutes depending on your reading speed. It too is FREE. Click Here for detailed instructions.
- In order to take online training, you need to obtain your AYSOID via
the either your regional registrar, or directly from AYSO National, once your local regional registrar has completed the US Mail paper processing. You cannot get an AYSOID until the paper forms are processed- this is where your Referee liability insurance coverage comes from. Click
Here to Inquire what your AYSOID is link.
- With AYSOID in hand, you can take the training here.
3. Fill out a USSF / AYSO Cross Certification Agreement Form.
And Mail it to your local AYSO region postal address, C/O Regional Referee
Administrator.
4. Your USSF / AYSO Cross Certification form will be processed and you
will be issued an AYSO Referee badge appropriate to your USSF Grade. (FREE).
Higher grades will take longer, and most AYSO local regions will likely send
you a Basic Referee badge in the interim so that you can referee games right
away. (AYSO will eventually get you your appropriate higher grade AYSO
badge if you are a more senior graded USSF referee).
